Biorè Cleansing Oil
Biorè Cleansing Oil claims to dissolve stubborn makeup, including waterproof mascara. It removes dirt and excess sebum leaving a non-greasy feel on the skin. I was kind of concern when I first thought of using a cleansing oil on my whole face because I hate it when my face feels greasy. Back then, I'd use Maybelline Lip and Eye Makeup Remover and apply it where it's needed but never on the whole face because I feel a little icky about it. But Biorè Cleansing Oil has a light formula so it does not feel like you're actually putting oil on your face. It comes in a lavender see-through plastic bottle with pump and cap to make sure that the product is secured from spillage. If you have a sensitivity to fragrance or you just prefer unscented products, you may want to consider that this has a strong fruity scent. It smells like fresh green apples that is a bit overwhelming for me when I first opened the bottle but I got used to it easily. So it wasn't really an issue to me.

INGREDIENTS: Mineral Oil, PEG-12 Laurate, Isododecane, Water, Isopropyl Palmitate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, Decyl Glucoside, Polysorbate 85, Glyceryl Oleate, Isostearic Acid, Pentaerythrityl Ether, Myristyl Alcohol, Alcohol, Citric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, BHT, Fragrance, Tocopherol
HOW TO USE:
Pump appropriate amount of Biorè Cleansing Oil. Massage gently on dry skin especially on areas with makeup then rinse off with regular facial wash for a clean and fresh feeling.
Let's Test The Product!
I put on different kinds of makeup on my arm to test how well Biorè Cleansing Oil performs. The products I applied were waterproof mascara, eyeliner, liquid lipstick, tint blush, and glitter eyeshadow.
I used 1 pump of the cleansing oil on my palm. As you can see from the photo below, it has a clear color and a watery texture, it's not thick and heavy at all.
THE PROCESS:
I began spreading the product and massaging Biorè Cleansing Oil on my skin in a circular motion. You can see how it melted the makeup and kind of blended them together, which is a bit scary at first. I thought I'd have a hard time removing the makeup because it seems like I am just spreading it all over my skin.
RESULT:
Just to check, I wiped it off with a regular facial tissue and voila, the makeup was almost invisible to the eyes!
The first to go was the waterproof gel eyeliner that I got from my Althea Korea Haul, 2nd was the waterproof mascara, followed by the shimmery eyeshadow, liquid lipstick and lastly, the tint blush. I was surprised to see how my tint blush staying power was. If you're curious, I used my favorite Peripera Vivid Tint Water. It stays on the whole day and even after washing your face, it's still on your lips. So I was really amazed that it's still challenging to remove even with a cleansing oil.
Since I'd be following a double-cleansing while using this product, I washed away the excess oil with my regular facial wash. I noticed how smooth and moisturized my skin was. It didn't leave my skin dry. Once my makeup is dissolved I tried to wipe it out with facial tissue just to see it before I wash it with a regular facial foam. And there, my skin is clean and with no traces of makeup whatsoever.
I want to test it out on my eye area as well so I put on my mascara and the Etude House Dr. Mascara Fixer for Super Long Lash, which I find very difficult to remove with a regular foam cleanser, and I still managed to remove the makeup just by gently massaging the area. You can tell that the product works when you see mascara residues forming into small lumps. Even the mascara fixer was gone without having to pull my eyelashes to remove the product. Oh, the best part is that it did not sting my eyes, which is another important thing for me. I hate products that make my eyes hurt! Although, it is still recommended to be extra careful when applying the product near your eye area because it may still irritate your eyes. So take an extra precaution!
Overall
I think Biorè Cleansing Oil is a good product for those who want to try out the double-cleansing technique because it does its job well. Plus, it didn't hurt that it does not cost as much as the other cleansing oils/balms available on the market. I'd say I am a very lazy girl and the thought of adding additional product to my cleansing routine already made me feel skeptical about the need for it. But I was surprised that it actually cut my cleansing time especially when I have waterproof makeup on. I don't have to wash my face with foam cleansers again and again and again, which leaves my dry skin even drier. I also love how it does not leave my skin feel greasy after using it. It's a gentle cleanser that removes your makeup thoroughly.
I still probably not use this on a daily basis because I don't wear makeup every day. But when I do, I'd definitely reach for this product.
